Checkmark
AlphaFree while Checkmark is in early access

Your hands never leave the keyboard.

Checkmark is a to-do app for people who work fast. Capture a task without reaching for the trackpad, let it land in triage before it lands on your day, and keep working offline — sync catches up the moment you are back.

What you get

Keyboard first
Press C and start typing. The composer opens where your hands already are and closes the moment the task is filed.
Triage before today
Everything you capture lands in Triage. Sort it once, on your terms, instead of finding a cluttered list every morning.
Offline by default
The app runs entirely on your machine. Sync happens in the background when you have a connection, and never blocks you.
Set everything inline
Type *space, #project, !priority, ~next friday, ^aug 24 or @tag straight into the title. Checkmark reads them back out and files the task for you.
Built for speed
Your tasks live in a database on your own machine. Nothing waits on a server to render your own list, so the app is as quick on its thousandth task as its first.
Notes on the row
Every task carries a note, shown on the row itself — so you can tell what a one-line task actually meant without opening it.

Capture never needs the mouse.

One keystroke opens the composer, and the whole task goes in as you type its title — space, project, priority, due date, deadline and tags, all from inline tokens. Press G and a view's letter to move between Triage, Today and Upcoming without reaching for the sidebar. More shortcuts land as more of the app does.
